01
Do not copy one profession’s workflow into another.
Consultants and motion designers hand over different work. A developer may deliver a test environment, repository and documentation; a brand designer may deliver a direction, exports and sources; a growth specialist may deliver recommendations, a campaign and reporting. The deal should reflect those differences.
The common structure is the expected result, boundaries, payment step, review version, decision-maker, recorded decision and final package.
02
Make review useful rather than a thread of messages.
The client should know what they are looking at and which question to answer. A preview, demo, presentation or staging version becomes more useful when tied to criteria and a specific decision: approve, request an in-scope revision or open a new phase.
This keeps feedback from becoming a sequence of requests with no version, owner or clear end.
03
Prepare the handoff before the last minute.
The handoff may include final files, sources, a deployment link, access, documentation or recommendations. Write down what is included and check permissions in the relevant external tool. Dealokr organises the deal record but does not override Figma, Drive, GitHub, Vercel or another provider’s permissions.
Each detailed page includes a checklist and wording suited to the profession. Use it before launching the project, rather than waiting for a question to arise.
