The workflow from the buyer’s sideDealokr for businesses and clients

Dealokr for businesses and clients: a project your team can follow.

Buying a service becomes easier when the result, expected decision and handoff are understandable. Agree on a Dealokr workflow with your provider to connect the agreement, upfront payment, review and hosted final files.

Prepare the client-side workflow

You are buying expertise, but you also need to know what your team will receive and what it must decide. A label such as “MVP”, “brand identity” or “strategy” becomes more useful when it identifies concrete deliverables, a review and a handoff.

Dealokr lets you follow the agreement, initial payment, previews and decisions within the project. To see how those steps fit together, explore how Dealokr works.

A useful starting point is a conversation with your provider: what is included, what you need to supply, who consolidates feedback and how the result will be used after the engagement. The product supports that framework; these decisions give meaning to the actions you take.

  • A result and deliverables you can explain to your team.
  • An agreement reviewed and signed, followed by the initial fixed-price payment.
  • A version to examine, criteria and an identified decision-maker.
  • A final package and access prepared for whoever will continue the work.
01 · Define what you are buying

Define the project and your team’s decisions.

Before confirming a service, make sure you can explain the expected result, deliverables and decisions your team will need to make. In Dealokr, those reference points form part of the agreement to review with your provider. You can commission identifiable work with a shared reference for production, review and final handoff, rather than relying on the project name alone.

Move from the goal to a concrete work result

“Build our MVP” or “improve acquisition” gives a direction, but says little about what you are buying. Specify the question, scope and material you will be able to examine. An audit, recommendation, prototype or initial set of testable flows can address a defined need.

Point to defineUseful questionExample MVP reference
ResultWhat should we be able to examine at the end?A testable appointment-request flow.
ScopeWhich screens, content or configurations are included? The screens and behaviours named in the agreement.
DependenciesWhat must our team supply?Copy, necessary access and a product contact.
ReviewWho responds, using which criteria?A decision-maker consolidates the agreed test results.
HandoffWhat will we need to continue the project? The sources, documentation and access actually included.

Name the decision-maker and dependencies

If several people have opinions, agree who gathers them and confirms the response to the provider. This is your team’s organisation: a founder may decide priorities while someone else tests a flow or checks the copy.

List what must be available for the work too: data, text, media, accounts, testing environment and internal decisions. You can identify a missing dependency before interpreting it as a production delay or an omitted feature.

02 · Review before funding

Sign the agreement and understand upfront payment.

When you receive a Dealokr invitation, open the project and verify your access by email to read the material and take the available actions. Review the agreement before signing: price, deliverables, schedule and review conditions. For the fixed-price workflow, you then pay 100% upfront, before the provider starts the production covered by the agreement you have accepted.

Check what your team is committing to

Compare the agreement with what you discussed with the provider. Confirm exclusions, revisions and the input needed from your side. If a point changes what you are buying, ask for clarification or an adjustment before proceeding, rather than depending on an unspoken interpretation.

Keep your own purchasing process too: budget approval, commercial documents and the billing information your business needs. The project workflow complements that arrangement. It does not replace the checks your team needs for its purchase and accounting.

Read funding as a separate step

The initial fixed-price payment is processed through Stripe Connect and collected in the platform’s Stripe balance before transfer to the freelancer’s connected account. You fund the project at the start; that does not mean a payout has already reached the freelancer’s bank account.

If the work includes milestones, they organise results, reviews and transfer conditions. They do not mean new client charges at every approval in this workflow funded 100% upfront. Check the amount and payment information presented before confirming.

For a project to which you have been invited, use its link and the portal’s email verification. Those provide access to this invited-client workflow; creating a Dealokr account is a separate action.

03 · Examine the right material

Test the preview against the agreed criteria.

A preview lets you examine the work and respond on an identifiable version. Before sharing an opinion, find the review criteria, points to test and question your provider is asking. You can check the expected result, identify a specific issue and prepare a useful decision without confusing this material with the full final handoff of everything agreed.

Make tests useful to the decision

For a prototype or MVP, check the agreed flows in the specified environment. Note the starting point, actions taken, actual result and expected result. Feedback tied to a specific step helps the provider more than “it does not work” without context.

For a creative asset, text or recommendation, adapt the review to the material. You might check the message, readability, brief constraints or proposed priorities. In a startup, distinguishing a hypothesis test from acceptance of the deliverable also helps decide what comes next: a usable prototype does not, by itself, prove a market outcome.

Keep the version and scope visible

Identify the version examined and gather comments on that version. If a colleague opened another file or an older environment, align your references first. The aim is to respond on the same work with a list of points the provider can locate.

A staging link, Figma mockup or external document retains its access conditions in its own tool. Dealokr helps connect those materials to the project, but does not run the tests on your behalf. The preview and review prepare a decision before handoff of the agreed final material.

04 · Give an actionable response

Consolidate feedback before confirming the decision.

When several people review the work, gather their observations before replying to the provider. Separate what fits, points to correct and new ideas to discuss. In Dealokr, the response and revision request relate to the project; an identified version and precise comments help you give the provider a coherent response and a clear basis for the next step.

Resolve opinions within the team

If a founder wants a simpler page while someone else wants several new content sections, decide the priority before sending feedback. Agree who will confirm the response and send the consolidated comments to the provider.

For each comment, identify the location, observed issue and expected result. A table or recap prepared by your team can group those points. You can also tell the provider which parts are clear, then specify what still needs a response.

For example, a review may confirm that the main flow follows the agreed design while identifying a missing error message on one screen. Describe that screen and the expected message. Discuss a newly suggested feature separately so the provider can explain how it affects the scope.

Distinguish revisions from a change of order

Return to the agreement. A defect in a planned flow and adding a new feature raise different questions. Ask the provider to explain what falls under correction, included revisions or a new requirement, with any price and schedule effects to confirm.

If points still prevent a decision, describe them in a revision request instead of approving while assuming they will be understood differently. When you approve the preview, that decision concerns the work presented. It does not automatically trigger transfer of funds or every final access permission.

05 · Prepare to receive the work

Receive the final package and check useful access.

Before the project ends, confirm which files, formats, agreed source material and documents your team must receive. In Dealokr, the freelancer requests the transfer when project conditions allow; confirmation opens access to hosted final files. You can then check the package and prepare it for the person who will continue the work within your team after the engagement.

Understand the order of handoff

Approval is a decision about the preview. The freelancer requests the transfer when project conditions allow, and confirmation enables the planned final access. Bank arrival for the freelancer follows its own schedule. A deadline passing or your absence of response does not automatically execute a transfer.

The package should match the agreement: accepted version, exports, editable elements when included and documentation. For a product project, a source file, code archive and live service may be different elements. Ask where each is and how your team should use it.

Check external services separately

A code repository, CMS account, Figma, Drive or advertising platform retains its own permissions. Check account ownership, invitations and necessary rights within the relevant service. Adding a link to the project does not automatically transfer ownership or authorisations.

Organise sensitive access details through a suitable channel, then check that files open and documentation is available. An announced permission and a package your team can actually retrieve need to be checked together. If something is missing, make a precise request referring to its place in the agreed scope.

06 · Organise continuity

Pass on the context so your team can continue.

The person who commissioned the work may not be the one who takes over the deliverables. Prepare a handover with the accepted version, important decisions and open points. The project and available Dealokr history help you find that context; your team can organise continuity around shared references and clearly defined responsibilities for what needs to happen after the engagement.

Prepare a useful handover after the provider’s work

For an MVP, bring together sources, documentation and information on the environment tested. Note who manages accounts, domain, hosting and deployment when those elements are included. For a campaign or content, retain the chosen version, assets and assumptions that explain the decisions.

A simple recap can identify what is complete, what remains to be decided and who takes over. If the product priority changes, this context helps you discuss it with the provider without retrospectively treating the new need as part of the existing fixed-price agreement.

Keep the relevant record within your team’s reach

Find the agreement, materials and responses needed for continuation, then organise copies and permissions under your company’s practices. Operational history brings recorded events together; it should not be treated as a copy of every conversation or every change made in external tools.

For your next project, start from the result you want to purchase, your team’s dependencies and the expected decision. Agree with your provider on a Dealokr workflow that makes these points understandable. You can prepare both the purchase and continuation of the work in the same conversation, before production begins.

A clear project framework connects what you are buying, what your team must examine and what it will receive at the end. Prepare the framework with your provider, use review for precise feedback and organise the access and documentation needed to continue the work.
